1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how SwipePhotoCleaner handles information when you use the app.
SwipePhotoCleaner does not upload your photos or videos to us. Photo analysis and organization features are designed to run on your device. The app does not require an account, does not contain advertising, and does not use third-party analytics.
This policy applies to the SwipePhotoCleaner iOS application and the services directly controlled by its developer.
2. Information we process
Photo and video library
When you grant Photos access, the app may access the media you authorize so it can provide scanning, cleanup, similarity grouping, search, categorization, compression, Live Photo conversion, vault, and related features. The analysis is performed on your device.
App settings and progress
The app may store local settings and progress information needed to remember your preferences and allow you to continue where you stopped. This information is stored locally on your device unless a future feature explicitly states otherwise.
Search input
Words or photos you use for search are processed as necessary to return results. The app is designed so that this processing occurs on your device.
Support communications
If you contact support, we may receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, device model, iOS version, app version, and a description of the problem. We use this information to respond to your request and troubleshoot the app.
3. Photos and videos
SwipePhotoCleaner requires access to the iOS Photos library for features that analyze, organize, compress, convert, move, or delete media.
The app supports both full library access and limited photo access. If you grant limited access, the app can only access the media that iOS makes available under that permission.
We do not sell, rent, or upload your photos or videos. We do not use your personal photo library to serve advertisements.
4. Private Vault
The Private Vault is intended to keep selected photos outside the normal system photo-library view while protecting access with a passcode or Face ID.
When you move a photo into the vault, the app follows its vault workflow to remove the photo from the system library. Photos can be moved back from the vault later.
Because the vault is a feature on your device, protect your device, device passcode, and authentication methods. The security of the underlying iOS device and any device backups is governed by Apple's security and backup mechanisms.
5. iOS permissions
SwipePhotoCleaner may request access to your Photos library because that access is required for photo-cleanup features.
You control Photos access through iOS. You can grant, reduce, or revoke access in your device's Settings. If access is reduced or revoked, some app features may no longer work or may only work with the media still available to the app.
6. Third-party services
SwipePhotoCleaner does not use third-party analytics and does not contain ads.
The app relies on Apple's iOS frameworks and system services where necessary to provide functionality such as Photos access, authentication, and system deletion confirmation. Apple's own processing and privacy practices are governed by Apple's policies and terms.
If you choose to contact support by email or use an external service yourself, that service may process information according to its own privacy policy.
7. Data retention and deletion
Photo analysis data and app progress intended for app functionality are kept locally on your device and can be removed by deleting the app or using the app's available controls, subject to iOS behavior.
Photos deleted through the app are handled by iOS Photos. After your final confirmation, selected photos move to the system Recently Deleted album according to Apple's retention and recovery behavior. We do not maintain a server-side copy of those photos.
If you contact support, we retain the information you provide only as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, troubleshoot issues, maintain support records, or comply with applicable legal obligations.
8. Security
We design SwipePhotoCleaner to minimize transmission of personal content by processing photo-library content on the device. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so you should also use the security features provided by iOS, including a strong device passcode and Face ID where appropriate.
9. Children's privacy
SwipePhotoCleaner is not designed to collect personal information from children. The app does not require an account and does not use advertising or third-party analytics.
10. Your choices
- Control Photos access through iOS Settings.
- Choose which photos are available to the app when using limited Photos access.
- Delete the app to remove its locally stored app data, subject to normal iOS behavior.
- Contact support if you have a question about information you voluntarily provided to support.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app, its features, or applicable requirements change. When we make changes, we will update the policy on this page and revise the effective date below.
Effective date: September 7, 2026
